Michael Luksenberg, CEO
Mr. Luksenberg is the son of Mr. Moshe Luksenberg, founder of Luksenberg Tours. During vacations as a child, he enjoyed helping in all aspects of the family business. In 1989, after responding to the company's first request for a medical airlift, Michael established Luksenberg Medical Assistance to meet a growing demand for medical flights. After his father passed away, Michael took over management of Luksenberg Tours (established in 1971) and continued developing Luksenberg Medical Assistance into the successful and internationally respected medical travel services company it is today. Michael Luksenberg has 22 years of experience in information systems development and management and marketing of medical air transfers.
Yoel Ozeri, Logistics Manager
Mr. Ozeri is an expert in reservation systems (Sabre, Amadeus, Travelport) and specializes in locating Internet tools to solve complicated logistical problems. Mr. Ozeri is a graduate of the Israel School of Tourism at Management University of Haifa and holds a BA from Ramat Gan College.
Sarah Luksenberg, Service Manager
As the Service Manager for Luksenberg Medical Assistance, Mrs. Luksenberg brings over two decades of professional experience in the travel industry. She has worked as a travel consultant developing travel tours for groups and individuals all over the world. She was also a department manager in charge of arranging travel for high level business clientele.
Mrs. Luksenberg holds a Travel Expert License from the Israel School of Tourism at Haifa University.
Professor Yoel Donchin, MD, Chief Medical Advisor
Professor Donchin is an anesthesiologist and Head of the Patient safety Unit at the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at Hadassah Hebrew University Medical Center in Jerusalem. Since 1992, he has served as a Clinical Professor of Anesthesia and Intensive Care in the Faculty of Medicine at Hebrew University.
From 1981-1983, he was recruited as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida and as a Visiting Research Associate at the University of Illinois in Urbana, Illinois.
He has done extensive research in emergency medicine and critical care and has authored and edited several books on these topics.
He has participated in Israeli rescue missions in Egypt, Kenya, Macedonia and Mombasa and in an IDF mission to Armenia.
Sari Mitzmacher, Deputy Director
In her role as Deputy Director, Ms. Mitzmacher has served for the past 4 years as the medical travel coordinator for Luksenberg Medical Assistance. Before Luksenberg, she worked for 12 years as a travel agent. Ms. Mitzmacher was recognized as a certified travel agent by the Israel School of Tourism.
Joni Khon, Paramedic
Mr. Kohn was the head of parmedics department in the IDF and led important development in battlefield and civilian medical care.
Mr.Khon is an instructor in the following courses: paramedic and medic's courses in the IDF, Magen David Adom (MDA) training courses, department of emergency medicine in Beer Sheva university and trauma training course of the IDF medical corps.
Mr. Khon also shares experience in advance airborne medical care and was on medical duty in numerous countries
